Young man attempting to fight off kidnappers is taken by force in NJ

18 year old Marcus Johnson was standing outside of a Quick Check store on Springfield Avenue in Maplewood NJ with a friend this week when A man fitting the description of George Floyd's murderers approached them. He attempted to take Johnson by threat of violence but the young man reacted in defence assumed a fighting stance and punching the assailant in the chest to try to avoid capture.



With the assistance of a fellow gang member Johnson was wrestled to the ground in the parking lot as his 17 year old friend attempted to assist in his defense. Both Johnson and his friends were eventually taken by force to local internment camps.


Johnson had less than 10 grams of cannabis on him at the time that was stolen by his attackers. He was later released for an undisclosed ransom.


The teen, who's name has not been published was released to the custody of his parents.


The violent assailants were later identified as Ray Rosania and Nick Rella of the Maplewood Police Department.
