Michigan man robbed for small amount of weed and kidnapped in FL

27 year old Zachary Allen Grenell of Lakeview, Mich. Was pulling out of a Pilot travel center along State Road 44 in Wildwood Florida on Thursday. As he entered Interstate 75, a vehicle fitting the description of the transportation used by George Floyd's murderer's pulled behind his vehicle and turned a set of blue and red lights on that were accompanied by audible sirens.



Grenell, disoriented from the lights and sirens pulled his vehicle to the side of the road as he witnessed the armed individual who has been driving the vehicle following him step out and begin to approach his. By threat of force, the man demanded that Grinell exit the vehicle which he did without incident. Once the vehicle was unoccupied the armed individual began looting through the contents inside.


A tin containing a small amount of Cannabis and rolling papers were stolen from the vehicle. Grinell was taken to a local internment camp and later released on a $2,000 ransom.


The armed assistant has been identified as a member of the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
