SWAT DEPLOYED OVER SMALL AMT OF CANNABIS

After allegedly receiving complaints from neighbors, MI police dept deploys SWAT to confiscate small amount of cannabis and a large amount of money.

According to an official press release a peaceful citizen in Sturgis MI was selling marijuana, marijuana plants, and marijuana edibles from without a license. Authorities obtained a search warrant after several months of investigation. 

Upon entering the house authorities found “several pounds of usable marijuana, including marijuana edibles”, and a large amount of US currency all of which was confiscated.

2 men were arrested and charged and are being held at separate correctional facilities awaiting trial. 

A statement from local police reminded residents “while marijuana is now legal in Michigan, the Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marijuana act of 2018 and the Michigan Medical Marijuana act of 2008 have established the rules, regulations and laws that must be followed. In this case, those rules and regulations were not being followed.” which gives them the authority under our current system to enter a peaceful citizens home and remove them with the threat of violence.
