Stopped w/ Seeds in S. America

4 people are in custody after The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) stopped a vehicle on Thursday during what they call an anti-crime exercise conducted in the Rio Claro district.

Senior Superintendent (Ag) Aguilal and Sgt. Mahabir along with the help officers of Rio Claro CID Task Force searched the Nissan at the side of the road and found 2 lbs of cannabis seeds in a bag in the center console.


Amral Amralli, 33, Sunil Seebarath, 43, Samaroo Francis and Sasha Matthews were all taken into custody after and are scheduled to appear in court via virtual hearing to answer to the charges of "possession marijuana for purposes of trafficking".


The TTPS valued the seeds at $13,650 it is unknown if the seeds were tested by a lab or how the TTPS was aware of what kind of seeds were present in the bag.
