Stalked by police for months, mother & son are arrested for cannabis possession

The home of 21-year-old Jose L. Jimenez Jr. and 52-year-old Cynthia L. Jimenez was invaded by Delaware police on Thursday morning. Once inside, police confiscated the 8 oz of cannabis and $508 they found as they arrested the mother & son pair.

Police say that on July 24th in 2014, Miss Jimenez allegedly sold about 8 g of cannabis to an undercover officer at their home. Police reports do not indicate why it took them so long from the date of the alleged sale to take action. ABC 6 news reports this arrest came after a month long investigation before citing the 2014 incident.

Cynthia Jimenez was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and was released on $10,200 unsecured bond.

Jose Jimenez was committed in lieu of $162,000 secured bond and charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, two counts of Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Person Prohibited, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
