RAVENS PLAYER SUSPENDED FOR CANNABIS POSSESSION


In March this year Alex Collins, running back for The Baltimore Ravens was in an auto accident. He was arrested at the scene for the cannabis present in his vehicle.


On the day of the accident in May, officers came to the scene to find Collins asleep in the driver's seat of the car that had just crashed into a tree close to The Ravens Training facility. He was charged with possession of more than 10 grams of marijuana, intent to distribute marijuana


He pled guilty last month to misdemeanor charges of marijuana possession and possession of a handgun in a vehicle, and will serve 18 months probation. The Ravens have issued a 3 game suspension.
