A multi-state operation beginning with an "informant" in Idaho has ended in the arrest of 3 people and the seizure of 90 ls of cannabis. James Eugene Schuster, 54, his wife, Anne, 46 and Theodore Lester Bruck, 51 fell victim to this elaborate multi-state plot and are now facing a maximum of 15 years in prison.
The News Tribune reports: "The multi-state operation began in Idaho when a detective arranged a marijuana buy with Bruck through an informant, according to the criminal complaints. Bruck picked up the marijuana in Arizona and drove to Wisconsin for a meeting at a Superior hotel with an undercover officer. Bruck was arrested Saturday night after delivering four bales of marijuana with a weight of 45 pounds, according to the complaints.
The contraband was used to bait a trap for James Schuster. Through the informant, the same Idaho police detective arranged to deliver about 50 pounds of marijuana to Schuster. The informant and Schuster met in the parking lot of a Superior grocery store Sunday morning and drove to another area of town where Schuster was arrested.
Law enforcement officers found more than 50 pounds of marijuana -- including a 27-pound bale and packaged bags -- during a search of Schuster's Lake Nebagamon residence at 6881 First Ave. W., the complaints stated. A scale and marijuana packaging materials were found at the residence, where Anne Schuster was arrested."
