On July 18th police in New Canaan CT allegedly received a call from a resident about "unwanted marijuana" being present in their home. The caller allegedly told police that the cannabis belonged to the other person living in the home with them.
Based on that phone call alone police launched and "investigation" into the "drug activity" according to an article published by the New Canaanite
Police obtained an arrest warrant on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after attempting to contact the man by phone for several weeks and not getting any response.
Media outlets report that on November 5th the man stopped to ask an off duty officer for directions. The un-uniformend officer then arrested the man and transported hi to the local detention center where he was released on $5,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Nov 15th. Reports do not indicate if the man had cannabis on his person at the time of the arrest.
