Police arrest 3 in connection with CA weed robbery

"Vista CA— Three people are in custody on suspicion of forcing entry and burglarizing “Green Venture” and “Doctor Green RX” marijuana dispensaries in the city of Vista.


It happened early Thursday morning, November 19, 2020 between 2:00am and 4:00am. The suspect(s) shattered the doors and forced entry into both locations, removing approximately $300.00 worth of property from 1406 S. Santa Fe Avenue, Vista CA. Damages to both businesses totaled approximately $5000.00.


Video surveillance from the businesses captured a silver Toyota 4Runner was driven by the burglary suspects. Deputies located the suspect vehicle nearby and detained the driver, a sixteen-year-old male juvenile.


During follow-up investigation, deputies identified the two other accomplices in the burglaries as eighteen-year-old Carlos Flores and eighteen-year-old Christopher Barbosa. Flores was apprehended at his home without incident.


Deputies from the Vista Patrol Station served a search warrant on Barbosa’s apartment. Barbosa attempted to flee from the apartment upon deputies’ arrival but was apprehended without incident. During the search warrant execution several items linking him to the burglaries were found in Barbosa’s home and on his person.


All three suspects admitted to participating in the burglaries. The juvenile suspect was released to his parents. Barbosa and Flores were booked into the Vista Detention Facility for commercial burglary, possession of stolen property and for an outstanding felony arrest warrant."
