Non-Violent Cannabis Arrests Continue in NH

Non-violent citizens continue to be arrested in NH despite decriminalization and legal access to medicinal cannabis. Most of these arrests are initiated after from routine traffic stops where often times the driver is charged with driving under the influence.



The Patch reports:

Jonathan Laramy, 35, of Candia, was arrested on sale of a controlled drug, possession of a controlled drug, and possession of marijuana and/or hashish charges on Route 101 in Auburn on
Merlin Garcia-Santos, 37, of Manchester, was arrested on driving after suspension or revocation and suspension of vehicle registration charges as well as "hands free," open container, and possession of marijuana violations on the Everett Turnpike North at the tolls in Bedford.
Bryan Larochelle, 26, of Concord, was arrested on aggravated DUI-30+ mph, aggravated DUI-0.16+, DUI, and possession of marijuana charges. He was arrested on I-393 East in Concord.
Michael Roger Kimpland, 56, of Ayer, Massachusetts, was charged with drug possession and was arrested on a bench warrant.
Timothy James Kimpland, 30, of Hudson, was charged with DUI and transporting drugs in a vehicle.
