Marcus Jerod Blackwell, 33, was driving through Wildwood in his Mustang over the weekend when a vehicle matching the description of the transportation used by George Floyd's Murderers began to follow him. He pulled to the side of the road and an armed man approached his vehicle.
By threat of violence Blackwell was forced out of his vehicle as the armed assailant began looting through its contents. There was allegedly a joint roach on the floor of the vehicle and a small amount of raw cannabis stuck to Blackwell's shirt.
The assailants, seemingly upset that more cannabis wasn't on hand for the taking then proceeded to transport Mr Blackwell to a nearby internment camp known by locals as the Sumter County Detention Center. He was later released for a $2,500 ransom on the agreement that he would return at a later date to face his accusers.
The assailant has been identified as a member of the Wildwood Police Department who was quoted in the report as saying, “Mr. Blackwell stated he had been smoking marijuana earlier that day" which would classify this event as a premeditated robbery.
