Mother & Daughter Arrested with 60+ lbs of Weed at Airport

Bridget Deque Wilkins, 41, and Victoria Denee Wilkins, 22 both of Los Angeles have been arrested after they were stopped by police at Dallas Love Field and were found to be in possession of over 60 lbs of cannabis in their luggage. Both were charged with second-degree felony possession of marijuana

A detective working at the airport says that they smelled the "strong odor of marijuana" coming from a bad as luggage was being unloaded from Southwest Flight 3040 as it landed in TX from CA.

The detective took the bag and waited at the baggage claim desk where Wilkins came to complain about her lost luggage. She admitted there was marijuana in her suitcase, the affidavit says, and consented to a search of her luggage.

In total, 62 vacuum sealed bundles of cannabis were confiscated and both women were charged with felony drug charges. After each posting $5,000 bond they were released and will appear for trial in the future.
