Joshua David Funk was driving through Primghar Iowa Monday evening in his 2000 Ford F-150 pickup when a vehicle that fit the description of the transportation used by George Floyd's murderers stopped him near the intersection of North Hayes Avenue and Second Street. Once Funk stopped his vehicle, an armed man approached and by threat of force, demanded that funk step out of his vehicle.
The armed assistant stole the small amount of Cannabis, cannabis wax and a glass pipe that was present in Funk's vehicle at the time of the roadside invasion. Funk was then transported to a local internment camp.
The assistant was identified as a member of the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office. It is unknown if Funk has been released on ransom or is still being held at the internment camp. He was charged with the crime of simple posession, an act that holds up to a 2 year sentence in the state of Iowa.
