Man arrested for Cannabis Theft, another suspect still at large

In a refreshing turn of events, Police are trying to locate the second suspect in a cannabis robbery on charges of theft, not possession. While the first suspect apprehended was charged with possession of cocaine as well as theft, Authorities reasoning behind the search was the theft.

The Mail Tribune reports, "One man is in jail and police are looking for another in an armed robbery that involved more than $1,000 worth of marijuana in Medford."

Robert Thomas Gray, 20, of the 100 block of North Columbus Avenue, is in the Jackson County Jail on felony charges stemming from the Oct. 30 incident, according to documents filed by the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office. He is accused of using or threatening to use a firearm during the robbery.

Desmond McDonald, 22, also known by the name Desmond Delille, is wanted on a felony warrant charging him with robbing a man of five pounds of marijuana, according to a press release issued by Medford police.

McDonald was described by police as 5-feet-9, 160 pounds, with a crown tattoo on his right eye and tattoos on his neck."

A Facebook post was made by Medford police asking anyone with information on Desmond McDonald, AKA Papa Drizzles whereabouts to call 541-770-4784, and reference case No. 19-20857.

Sadly, it is not uncommon for an individual to be victimized by means of theft not having the freedom of reporting the crime because of the categorization of the property that was stolen on the federal level. As we come to the end of prohibition, people will be more free to exercise their right to communicate freely with law enforcement in instances such as this.
