Man arrested after calling police to report property theft

Dante Bellamoli was robbed last week when someone stole cannabis from his person while at a gas station in AL. When he called the police for help they showed up to arrest him.

Sheriff Nick Weldon of the DeKalb police department said in a press release.“It probably wasn’t the best decision for this individual to choose to report stolen marijuana, but we were happy to investigate it for him,” indicating that their department does not take crimes committed against cannabis users seriously.

Bellamoli was arrested charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, police are not making any steps to apprehend the person who stole hi property however.
