Kidnapped in KS over cannabis. Victims being held without bond

On June 30th Bourbon County Sheriffs deputies entered the residence of Christopher J Pruitt (38) and Rachel M Pruitt (48) of Fort Scott, KS. Officers took the two at gunpoint after confiscating the small number of cannabis plants all of which police reports say were in the veg stages. The report also states that "several mason jars full of a green leafy substance" were seized during the home invasion as well.

The two were taken into custody and have been accused of distribution of marijuana, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and child endangerment although reports do not indicate any children being hurt.

The couple is being held without bond at the Bourbon County Law Enforcement Center

If found guilty the two could face anywhere from 45-83 months imprisonment according to Kansas state regulation
