Lake & McHenry County Scanner reports:
"A 22-year-old man was arrested during a search warrant, which briefly placed Lake Forest High School on lockdown Wednesday, after police say the man sold drugs to students from his house that is adjacent to the school.
Sage Lawrence, 22, of the 300 block of Noble Avenue in Lake Forest, was charged with unlawful possession with intent to deliver psilocybin mushrooms, unlawful possession of psilocybin mushrooms, unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to delivery and unlawful possession of cannabis.
The Lake Forest Police Department executed a search warrant at Lawrence’s residence on Wednesday. Police notified school administrators at Lake Forest High School and the school was placed on a 10-minute soft lockdown.
Officers recovered felony amounts of psilocybin mushrooms and cannabis, 31 THC vape cartridges, drug paraphernalia and supplies used for the packaging and selling of narcotics, according to Lake Forest Deputy Police Chief Rob Copeland.
Copeland said that the department had received information that Lawrence was selling narcotics from his residence to Lake Forest High School students.
“Lawrence’s drug activity was facilitated by his residence being located adjacent to Lake Forest High school property,” Copeland added.
Lawrence was held overnight at the Lake Forest Police Department and transported to the Lake County Jail for a bond hearing Thursday. He was released after posting 10 percent of his $30,000 bond."
