HEMP SHIPMENT CLEARED IN VT SEIZED BY NYPD AS "MARIJUANA"

The NYPD 75th Precinct posted on social media yesterday evening about a 106 lb cannabis seizure boasting a “great job” Sources say shipment was Hemp that had been cleared by authorities in VT

On Monday morning, less than 24 hours after the NYPD made it’s claims on social media a post was made to reddit with an image and statement saying ”Guys...My hemp shipment to my buyer in NYC just got confiscated and he got arrested” directing concerned citizens and supporters of freedom to the NYPD facebook post


Sources indicate the shipment was made from Vermont where it was cleared by police before the FedEx shipment was initiated. Once it got to NYC is was confiscated by police. 


The source of the shipment reports having sent in all required documents and called police who said that they “got all the paperwork” and the NYC recipients could “come pick it up” which was reported to a 420Platoon affiliate. 


Upon arrival the recipient, whose name has still not been released was arrested.

NY Prosecutors Expected to Drop Charges

UPDATE (Nov 24th 2019)


Reports indicate that Oren Levy, a man who was wrongfully arrested while transporting federally legal hemp earlier this month will not be convicted of any crimes.


A spokesperson for the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office, said charges had not been dismissed quite yet but, “The prosecutor said on the last court date that we plan to dismiss them and just have to take a few more steps prior to that,”


The next hearing in the case is set for Dec. 2. Oren Levy said the charges against his brother are expected to be dismissed then.


Green Angel, the hemp cultivation establishment who was making the sale reports taking a major hit in business from the incident. Not only was the $17,000 shipment wrongfully taken but he also reports other businesses breaking ties with him in fear of police retaliation.
