"A local doctor is facing multiple charges after a report alleges that a search warrant inside the suspect’s home found drugs, paraphernalia, and more.
Dr. Howell Joiner Martin, 79, was booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail on Tuesday. According to an arrest report, investigators found the following items at Martin’s home: “Drug paraphernalia which alerted positive to cocaine” throughout the property “Clear crystal substance in a clear plastic bag, located in the kitchen. This substance was tested and alerted positive to methamphetamine.” “Sixteen yellow Xanax bars, located in safe, located in the master bedroom closet.”
“Marijuana, less than 20 grams, was also located in this safe mentioned above.”
The report says Martin knew the location of the safe combination and said the safe belonged to him.
Martin agreed to speak with investigators about what officers found."
