Couple robbed at roadside stop in Iowa

29-year-old Christopher Baretich, and 27-year-old Alexandra Mayhall, both of St. Louis, MO were driving through Argyle, IA on July 26th. Suddenly a vehicle matching the description of the getaway vehicle used by George Floyd's murderers approached them.

An armed man walked up to their vehicle and with the threat of force demanded that they exit. Once they did the assailant began to loot through the possessions inside. 1.5 pounds of Cannabis that was present in the vehicle at the time of the looting was stolen by the assailant.

The two were taken to a nearby internment camp and later released on ransom.

The assailant has been identified as a member of the Lee County Narcotics Task Force.
