A New Jersey man identified simply as, Dykstra in media reports was approached by an armed man in uniform on the evening of July 3rd as he sat stopped in his vehicle apparently speaking with a friend in another vehicle next to him. The armed man who identified himself as Richard Smith began to integrate Dykstra and the driver of the other vehicle insisting he know why they are on a public street and the nature of their discussion.
It is unknown at this time what Dykstra's response if any was to these intrusive tactics but he was at some point forced to step out of his vehicle by threat of violence.
Once he was removed Smith began looting through Dykstra's property inside the vehicle and even called for an accomplice, identified as Erickrl Finley to meet him on the scene and assist in the robbery. The pair stole the small amount of THC extract present in the vehicle and acknowledged in a written report that it was identified on the scene as “his [Dykstra's] medicine,”
Smith and Finley proceeded to transport Dykstra to a nearby internment camp where he was later released without ransom. The assailants have been identified as members of the Sparta Police Department.
By thereat of force they are demanding that Dykstra come back at a later date to face his accusers in the alleged crime of possessing plant matter. If found guilty he faces up to 6 months serving a POW of the drug war and/or the demand of a $1,000 extortion payment in exchange for his freedom.
