A cannabis cultivation operation in Nevada was raided and shut down on Thursday after police received reports from the community about a “strange odor” coming from the building on Ann Way.
Yongjun Tan and Cheng Zi were arrested after police executed a search warrant on their property. Inside they found an 800 plant cannabis cultivation operation and destroyed the entirety of the crop.
Both suspects were charged with possession to sell a Schedule 1 controlled substance, conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substance Act and unlawful production/processing marijuana with 12 mature plants and were booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
Boulder City Police Chief Tim Shea commented on the raid, "Once again, I am proud of the dedication and commitment shown by our law enforcement officers in fighting drug crime".
He went on to say "We've heard the campaign, 'See something, say something;' in this case, that singular voice helped prevent these drugs from hitting the streets," encouraging the citizens of his community to continue making calls criminalizing their non-violent neighbors.
