482 lbs of weed stolen in CA home invasion

An armed home invasion in California leads to theft of over 482 lbs of cannabis, $9,000 in cash and the abduction of the homeowner. The armed assailants reportedly arrived at Ryan Hammer's home on the evening of April 16th 2020. After taking him by threat of force and violence into a parked van waiting outside the home, this coordinated robbery continued as they looted his house. Along with the cannabis flower and cash, the perpetrators also stole 7,659 grams of THC oil & 173 packages of THC edibles.

The assailants have been identified as members of the Birmingham Police Department. Hammer was taken to the Jefferson County detention center and released on a $260,000 ransom. He is scheduled to appear in front of a state official in August to face accusations of possessing cannabis with the intent to distribute. This, of course, is completely "legal" unless you don't first pay extortion fees to the state of California.
