"Authorities have seized over 400 pounds of marijuana found abandoned in Yavapai County.
The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to U.S. Forest Service land outside of Rimrock, Arizona on Jan. 3 after several unattended packages of marijuana were found. U.S. Forest Service personnel initially thought the pile was trash until closer inspection.
YCSO said there was no immediate evidence of who owned the packages or the suspects involved. The packages were vacuum sealed and during a search of the area, YCSO said deputies located another package that contained several sheets of pre-packaged THC wax.
YCSO said there were over 30 packages of marijuana weighing a total of 48 pounds. The Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking (PANT) detectives were contacted and assumed the investigation"
