3 NC Men Flee as Police Break Down Door Over Weed

News 13 in NC reports "The Robeson County Sheriff’s office has made arrest after finding drugs, guns and cash in a home near Red Springs." There were no reports of violence made by any of the 3 men apprehended after fleeing into a nearby wooded area in an attempt to maintain their freedom.

The SWAT team was deployed to execute a search of a home in Red Springs NC. After breaking down the door police confiscated $2,700, 2 firearms and an undisclosed amount of cannabis from the owners.

The men fled in an attempt to maintain their freedom but were apprehended by police and arrested. Ramon Campbell, 30 was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell of Deliver Marijuana, Maintaining a Drug Vehicle and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Hendrix Kentrell Hasty Jr., 32, and Derrick Murray, 34 were charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

NC court records are not available to the public online so it is unclear what prior felony charges Hasty & Murray received. In this country over 3/4 of the prison population is comprised of non-violent drug offenders .
