230+ tons of weed stolen from SoCal farmers in 2019

Local cannabis farmers in Riverside County CA, a picturesque desert town with the ideal climate for growing cannabis were terrorized on a weekly basis through 2019. The local police department coined the term "Marijuana Monday" back in April and began an online propaganda campaign primarily focused on Facebook that saw to get the non-cannabis using residents on board with the abduction of these farmers by force and the destruction of their property.

ABC7 Reports: "More than 230 tons of marijuana was seized in Hemet last year, as part of the county's crackdown on illegal grow operations.

The marijuana, which was estimated by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department to be valued at $466 million, was taken to local landfills and destroyed.

The department's Hemet Station served nearly 250 search warrants for marijuana cultivation during 2019, culminating in 82 arrests and the seizure of 88 firearms and $77,000 in cash."
