2.5 lbs of Cannabis Flower & 80 bags of Edibles Valued at $10k Seized by MA Police

Police in Middlebo MA ended up chasing down 3 men following them around town for some time. Likely distracted by the anxiety of being followed, the driver lightly swiped a parked vehicle at which point the deputy following him attempted to approach the vehicle. The 3 men then fled from the vehicle when deputies initiated a foot chase.

Duane Silva, 43, and Dereck Hunt, 48 were apprehended and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, conspiracy to violate the drug law, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Police confiscated 2.5 lbs of cannabis flower and an 80 lb bag of edibles from the vehicle.

The men were scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Wareham District Court, but the results of the hearings haven't been made available at this time.
