13 CANNABIS PLANTS LAND NJ MAN BEHIND BARS

John P. Reeves’s house was raided by police this summer, He was indicted by a grand jury last month and is now awaiting sentencing.

Trooper James Allen, one of the officers on the scene when the search warrant was executed in July said in an affidavit “During a post arrest interview, John Reeves stated all of the marijuana and plants belonged to him,”

Police discovered a small grow which would fall within personal use guidelines in legal states.  They also cited grinders and scales in the house allowing them to charge the man with intent to distribute. 

Reeves is currently free and awaiting trial for sentencing, the maximum penalty in NJ for cultivation of 5-10 plants is 10 years/$150k
