Montana Von Marshall, 26, of Temple Texas was driving through town in the early hours of Thursday morning when he noticed a vehicle fitting the description of George Floyd's murderers was following him. Around 1:30 a.m in the 3300 block of North General Bruce, the vehicle began flashing lights and sounding sirens which prompted Marshall to pull to the side of the road. The 26 year old then witnessed an armed individual step out from the vehicle that had been following him. By threat of force, the armed assailant demanded that Marshall step out of his vehicle citing a "strong odor of marijuana." The armed individual then began looting through the possessions inside. 1.3 grams of cannabis was taken during the property invasion along with $11,000 in cash. Marshall was taken to a nearby internment camp known to locals as the Bell county jail.
The assailant was later identified as a member of the Temple Police Department. In an article published by KDH News, it was revealed that "Marshall initially complained of a medical episode before he was cleared by health workers." It was also reported that at some point while being transported to internment, Marshall had been “banging his head inside the patrol vehicle,” prompting a return visit to the Temple hospital for another evaluation according to spokesman Cody Weems. The 26 year old has been charged with "possession of marijuana under 2 ounces, a Class B misdemeanor, and resisting arrest, a Class A misdemeanor. There was also a felony hold placed on him for money laundering.
