"War on Drugs" or something else?

They call it the "War on Drugs" but after surviving this war I've come to realize it's really a war on people. "Nobody should ever die for a plant" is a phrase you hear often when talking with cannabis consumers. They are people, like the rest of the inhabitants of planet earth. But unlike their pill popping counterparts, they are more likely to be killed over a plant than they are if they chose pharmaceuticals. So the choice is clear for those too weak and too afraid to face the possibility of incarceration or death. They choose to opt out of the war against them and surrender their bodies to unknown chemical compounds and the long term effects of their usage.

We know the long term effects of cannabis consumption. Most cannabis consumers enjoy a sense of calm the sweet herb delivers. They also report feeling more capable of dealing with violence the world routinely delivers. However, due to the lack of legal clarity cannabis still carries a hefty portion of paranoia. Most consumers experience heightened paranoia due to the risks associated with consuming cannabis. Risks that involve physical attacks, verbal harassment, arrests, incarceration and death. Yet, usage and consumption is on a significant rise.

The strong arms of the war on people are the very agencies tasked with our protection. How can we trust agencies who see us as their enemy and are actively training to be at war with us? It's the same as insisting that a rape victim be counseled by her rapist. It's insane.

We are at war. It's a war against us. It's a terror campaign. It's designed to get you afraid and keep you scared. Fear is their tool. My goal is to look inside their machine. Analyze their tactics, see their strong arms flexing and report back to you my findings. I will be giving my opinion from time to time. Having one matters. My reports will contain bias. My reports will be passionate. This is war. They wanted a war, they got one. They just didn't count on us showing up, battle ready, dressed to kill and thoroughly trained. Skilled for the kill.

Let the offensive begin.
